What Mandana is, how credits work, and what it will not pretend to do.
- What is Mandana?
- An AI reasoning engine. It argues both sides of a question before it answers: Lean, Tension, Take, Confidence, and one question back.
- Is this another chatbot?
- No. Chatbots optimize for a satisfying reply. Mandana is built so you can inspect the argument, including the side it does not pick.
- What are the five parts?
- Lean is the thesis you can defend. Tension is the strongest opposing truth. Take is what remains from both sides. Confidence is how grounded the answer is, written as a word. Ask is one follow-up that most increases understanding.
- Who is Mandana named after?
- Mandana Mishra, a classical Indian philosopher associated with Advaita and with holding opposing schools without collapsing them. The product is named for that method, not for ornament.
- What is the difference between Core and Infinity?
- Core compresses the five parts into a short form, without live web search. Infinity runs the same honesty over live public sources. Neither performs certainty.
- How do I start?
- Sign up with email or Google and ask your own question. You land in the product, not a tutorial. If the question is vague, Mandana asks one clarifying question first.
- How do credits work?
- Each question spends reasoning credits. Free includes 15 per month plus 50 one-time credits. Paid plans add a monthly allotment. Current rates are on the pricing page.
- Do unused credits roll over?
- No. Monthly reasoning credits expire at the end of the billing period. Top-up packs stay valid for 12 months.
- Is there a student plan?
- Yes. Verified school, college, UG, and PG students get the same monthly credits as Personal, at a student rate. You need a valid student ID, academic email, or enrollment proof. Status is rechecked annually.
- Can teams use Mandana?
- Yes, for argument-building, review, and decisions where a glib answer is a liability. For document privacy or financial intelligence, see Enterprise AI. Write to us if you want Mandana inside an organization.
- What will Mandana not do?
- It will not hide the other side, pad confidence, or dump a list of follow-ups. If the evidence is thin, Confidence says so. If the question is too vague, it asks one question back instead of guessing.
- What happens to what I ask?
- Queries and generated answers are used to run the product and keep it secure. We do not sell personal data. The privacy policy has the full picture.
